Training courses for Spanish teachers


Our courses are tough, but that's no reason why they shouldn't also be fun

These two-week (50-hour) methodology and Spanish culture courses are specially designed for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language whose mother tongue is not Spanish.

Course content

The courses cover the following aspects:

  • An update on methodology, with sessions based on the latest trends in teaching Spanish and other foreign languages, with practical ideas that can be applied in the classroom
  • A theoretical review of certain aspects of Spanish grammar
  • Classroom procedures and material
  • Observation and commentary on classes given by International House teachers
  • Teaching practice supervised by a tutor, with feedback on the class and assessment of the work the participant is doing as a teacher
  • Sessions on Spanish culture as part of the diversity of Spain, social customs, the Spanish media, history, etc.
  • Collection of authentic material for subsequent classroom use
  • Other topics of interest

Note
For groups of at least 6 teachers, made-to-measure courses for Spanish teachers can be organised, of different length and at other dates.
