In-company classes

In the business world it is increasingly essential to be able to communicate in a language other than your own. Often that language is English, although it could also be French or German. As a result, companies, institutions and NGOs need to find language training that is appropriate and effective in terms of costs and results. But finding an organization that can satisfy those needs can be problematic.

International House Barcelona runs courses designed to meet the needs of our clients. With specially trained native teachers and the support of a leading language training organization with more than 30 years' experience in Barcelona, we have a long list of satisfied clients that testifies to the effectiveness of the training we provide.

Timetables

Group or 1-2-1 classes can be programmed from two hours a week to nine hours a day (including meals), with timetables from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Content

Although we run courses with predetermined content (English for Banking, English for Accounting...), most of our courses are planned around our clients' needs. The context in which your company uses English may be similar to that of other companies, but it will not be exactly the same. IH courses are therefore designed to provide the training that you need, in the most practical, dynamic way possible, with particular emphasis always placed on making active use of the language.

English for Work

Our English for Work (EFW) courses are run at International House and are open to anyone who wishes to attend. They are designed to develop the linguistic competence of people who need to use English in their work.

EFW courses are available at five different levels, from lower intermediate to advanced, and cover such things as answering the telephone, making a presentation and letter writing in a work context. They are available in both an extensive (100 hours) and an intensive (40 hours) format.

The courses have a very practical focus, the objective being to enable people to carry out the tasks they have to do in English effectively. The emphasis, as with all courses at International House, is on practical use of the language for real communication. The courses are enjoyable and dynamic.
