Spanish at Work
Our new Spanish at Work programme gives you the opportunity to learn Spanish while being paid to work in the tourist sector.
You first take an intensive Spanish course with us at IH Barcelona, for a minimum of 6 weeks. During this time we organise job interviews with local companies through Barcelona-based employment agencies.
After your course you can then work for 2-6 months in a hotel, bar, or restaurant. Note that pay and conditions of employment vary from company to company.
The programme is open all year round but job opportunities will be more readily available in the summer. We therefore recommend that you start your course during the period April-June, where possible.
Note that we do not guarantee job placement, as this will depend on your interviews with the employment agencies. We do however guarantee at least two job interviews and if you can speak Spanish up to intermediate level and have one or more other languages you should have no problem finding employment in the tourist sector during the summer.

Price includes registration, level test, classes, all course materials, our programme of social and cultural activities, student card, access to all the school facilities, company placement advice, work placement fee and supervision during the training period. |
