The following are sample timetables for both our CELT YL and the CELTA YL extension courses:

Timetable A

• 09-10.30 Planning & input
• 10.30-13.30 Teaching Practice
• 14.30-15.45 Input
• 16.00-17.00 Feedback & planning

Timetable B

• 09.00-10.00 Input 1
• 10.00-10.45 feedback on previous day’s teaching
• 11.00-13.00 Teaching Practice
• 14.00-15.30 Input 2
• 15.45-17.00 Guided preparation for teaching

Timetable C

• 09.00-10.00 Guided preparation for teaching
• 10.00-10.45 Feedback on previous day’s teaching
• 11.00-13.00 Teaching Practice
• 14.00-15.30 Input 1
• 15.45-17.00 Input 2

The exact timetable used on a given course depends on a number of factors, but these are the most commonly used.

Note that whichever format is used, after 5pm you will need to spend time liaising with colleagues about what you have been and will be teaching your learners in the teaching practice sessions.
