The Internet with Adolescents

The session

This practical session aims to prepare teachers for using the Internet with adolescent learners. We investigate the structure of lessons using the Internet and how best to set up tasks and activities.

The course will be in the IH Mataró computer room, giving us the opportunity to try out a wide range of tasks suitable for a range of learners.

Biodata

Simon Gillow (right) qualified as a middle school teacher in 1992. He has worked in many primary and secondary schools in England, Holland, Israel, Lebanon and Spain.

Simon is also a RSA/Cambridge teacher trainer, based at IH Barcelona. Simon has given numerous seminars workshops and training courses in Spain and the Middle East, training teachers for work in primary and secondary schools. At IH Barcelona he is currently involved with writing online courses as well as training teachers for 'oposiciones'.

More recently he has been working as an author and assessor for publishing companies. He is co-author of a new ESO course. He has lived in Mataro for seven years, with his wife and three small children.
