The timetable for a typical day on the CELTA course looks something like this:

  • 09.00-10.00
    Feedback on previous day's Teaching Practice and assisted lesson planning

  • 10.00-12.00
    Teaching Practice with real students

  • 12.15-12.45
    Initial Feedback on Teaching Practice

  • 12.45-14.00
    Lunch Break

  • 14.00-15.30
    Input session 1

  • 15.45-17.15
    Input session 2

From 17.15 on trainees are involved in continued lesson planning alone or with colleagues, writing assignments or observing classes, live or on video.
