About IH Tarragona language school

International House Tarragona was founded in 1980. The building is situated on the Rambla Nova, in the city centre.

The school offers English classes at all levels, for adults and children aged 4 upwards. It also offers German, French, Spanish and Catalan classes and hosts a very successful Spanish Summer Course for Teenagers.

At International House Tarragona we run a wide range of language courses, including general, business and exam preparation classes, as well as tailor-made courses for companies, groups, schools and individuals.

Our teachers
All the teachers at International House are native speakers of the language they teach, and all the English teachers have a postgraduate qualification specifically tailored towards teaching English as a Foreign Language. Many of our Younger Learner teachers have taught in the primary and secondary education system in Britain.

International House, as an organisation, has always been concerned with the continuing professional development of its teaching staff. This is one of the reasons why the International House World Organisation continues to enjoy such a level of prestige and professional recognition in the world of English Language Teaching.

Our facilities
In the school there are three computers with Internet access which adult students are free to use. Younger students may also use the PCs during supervised class activities as the Internet provides a source of current authentic material to help develop their language skills. There is also a large selection of books, cassettes videos and DVDs available for self-study and many of the original version films have explanatory notes.

Reception
Reception is open to the public Monday to Friday 09.30-13.00 and 16.30-20.30.

The school is closed for two weeks at Christmas, one week during Easter and for the last two weeks of August.
