English for teachers

•Levels: Upper-Intermediate / Advanced

This course is intended for non-native teachers of English working in Primary and Secondary schools. The aim of the course is to enable teachers to improve their knowledge of advanced vocabulary, idiomatic and colloquial English, as well as boost their ability to speak English effectively and correctly in the classroom.

The course will therefore have a strong focus on speaking and pronunciation skills. In addition, the class will look at the use of speaking activities in class and comment on how they could be adapted to their own classroom situations. The teachers of this course are trained in teaching Young Learners and/or qualified as Primary or Secondary state school teachers in the United Kingdom.
