Profesores de inglés en International House Terrassa

Valerie Weston - Director of Studies - was born in Nottingham in the English Midlands but has lived in Germany, France and Spain too. She has been teaching English for over 25 years and is now the Director of Studies at IH Terrassa. She has a degree in Education and a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She has taught classes of all levels and age groups offered at IH Terrassa and, besides teaching, she offers support to teachers and students. She enjoys reading, travelling, swimming and spending time with family and friends.

Judith Baum comes from Rothley, Leicestershire, England. She came to Spain nearly 40 years ago and has taught English in Madrid, Barcelona and Terrassa. At IH Terrassa she set up and has been responsible for the Early Learner department since 1990. Apart from classes in the school, she also teaches in companies.

Mike Twort has been working at IH Terrassa since 1991. Prior to that he worked in IH Reus and before that, he did various jobs in and around London. When not working he spends time with his two young children or watching films on DVD. He has been playing the guitar badly for ten years and giving up smoking for 24.

Jackie Emery is from New Zealand. She started teaching in a high school there but she has since been living and working in Terrassa for about 20 years. She works at International House and has taught English to all ages, from 4 to 82 years old, including oral fluency and company classes. She is also an oral examiner for the Cambridge Young Learner, PET and FC exams and tutors students doing Net Languages online English courses.

Lucy Buck qualified as a teacher in 1992 and since then has taught a variety of levels including Advanced and Proficiency, as well as Business English. She has experience teaching both children and adults and she is also a Cambridge University Young Learner and First Certificate oral examiner. Many of her students are doing online courses which she tutors.

Chris Nash has been teaching English for over 22 years, both in Madrid and Terrassa. He has also been a Cambridge University First Certificate examiner and is now a Net Languages online tutor. At present he mainly teaches Business English in companies. Originally from London he still has strong links with Bristol from his student days. Married with a daughter at secondary school.

Becky Fisher started work at International House Terrassa in October 2004 after completing her CELTA course a few months previously. This year she is starting the part -time DELTA course so she will be quite busy! When she's not planning lessons she enjoys going out with friends, doing pilates, cycling, rollerblading and improving her Catalan!

Matt Winship is from a small resort town South of Buffalo, New York. He came to live in Barcelona in the year 2000 and started working at IH in 2002 where he has been acclaimed as by far the best teacher ever by both fellow teachers and students. His hobbies are crocodile wrestling, base jumping and inventing absurd comments about himself.

Richard Cowper was born in Australia. He left Sydney in 1980 to see the world. During the following two years he married a Catalan, became a father, settled in Terrassa and started teaching at International House. He still lives with his wife and younger son, spends his holidays in France, and tries not to waste his free time.

Robert Armitage was born in Kent but grew up in Lancashire, England. He taught English in Paris for several years but has now been living in Catalonia for 19 years. He enjoys playing the guitar, listening to classical music, reading and socializing in his free time.
