About the course

The course is intended to update teachers with new teaching ideas designed to engage and motivate learners and to bring purpose to their learning via interactive task-based approaches to teaching and learning.

The practical ideas demonstrated on the course put the focus on language learning via student involvement in creative tasks which cause the need for specific language items at different levels of ability and ages and these will be referenced using communicative competence descriptors from the CEFR.

Particular reference will be made to common problems encountered by Catalan & Castilian speaking students learning English in a secondary school environment.

The course will be taught entirely in English.
